Bournemouth wedding photographers – A beautiful bride…
It’s been a while since you heard from our beautiful faces but we assure you we are still here! We are working really hard on early year weddings, pre-wedding shoots, album designs, pregnancy and newborn shoots! Theres a lot in this wonderful world that needs some magical documentation and we have been shooting our little bums off to make sure we deliver to our wonderful clients! Check our Facebook page to see regular updates!
Its a very short and sweet one from us at HQ today but we wanted to share a favourite image or two from the recent wedding of Carolyn and Alan in Portsmouth. We had a fantastic day with no snow and just a hint of beautiful light to compliment our couple, it was a fantastic day and we hope this sneak peak will show how lovely it was!
Lots of love to our couple and thanks to amazing Hayley, my partner in crime for the day!

Bournemouth Wedding Photographers – Christchurch Harbour Hotel – Katherine and James
Happy new year, friends! We hope you had a festive Christmas time and got to relax with friends and family. We had a little time off with la famille and welcomed in the new year with a drink in hand and a smile on our faces! We are just so excited for the next year of shoots and weddings and even 2014 is shaping up to be a fantastic year of travel and camera clicking.
The gorgeous Kat and James were married just before christmas on the most beautiful of sunny days. I adore this couple, so in love and so happy to be expecting their first child. The wedding was just wonderful and so lovely to be a part of!
We wanted to share some of their gorge piccies and give you a taster of the fun we had shooting on their day!
The biggest of congratulations to such a lovely couple – can’t wait to meet little one and so glad that you love your photos, thank you guys for choosing us xx

Thank you to the fantastic staff at the Christchurch Harbour Hotel for their amazing organisation and friendliness!
Bournemouth Photography – Chantal and Rory
You are lucky people – two posts in one week – i’m on fire! Special treat today – we have a stunning couples shoot that I wanted to share with you all!
I was so excited to meet up with the lovely Chantal and Rory last week who are getting married this coming saturday in beautiful Wimborne Minster! We took some pre-wedding photos to get them used to the camera and how I work – relaxed and fun. It’s always a good idea to scout round our venues and get a feel for them (Wimborne Minster is jaw dropping of course!) and great to have a chat with our couple to work out our plan of attack for the big day!
How photogenic is Chantal! I think you will agree she will be a gorgeous bride! And what an affectionate groom-to-be we have… SO looking forward to photographing Chantal and Rory’s winter wedding and can’t wait to show all of you the photo’s xx
What a cracking couple
Christchurch Priory and Highcliffe Castle Weddings – Hayley and Jon
Hayley and Jon… What can I say… Two fantastic people, two of my favourite venues, and two very happy photographers… we had a great time at the recent wedding of Hayley and Jon. Held at Christchurch Priory and Highcliffe Castle on a beautiful summers day, we had gorgeous weather and a day full of happiness and smiling faces!
We just wanted to post a little selection of some of the cracking photos from the big day, to give you a little insight into the fabulousness that was! A big well done to Hayley for doing so well despite getting ill the day before the big day – you were a trooper! And fab speech Jon, we were both shooting in hysterics as you may have seen!
We hearted your wedding so here they are… Enjoy friends! x

I think this shot just captures how special this moment was to our couple…
Thank you both and congratulations xx
Langtry Manor Weddings – Linda and Paul
These two wonderful people were brought together by fate and are such a hoot I can’t even tell you… The lovely Linda and Paul got hitched at The Langtry Manor in Bournemouth in front of their awesome friends and family (a lively bunch to say the least!) The boys enjoyed a pint before heading to the venue and the girls had a morning of pampering and girlyness with our fave make up and hair princesses Zoe and Vanessa from Soda Salons Bournemouth. The weather was on our side for an outdoor ceremony and we headed down to Bournemouth beach for some couple shots where the sun even joined us for a little while, lucky us!
I always say that speeches are my favourite time of a wedding day, and Linda and Paul’s wedding was no exception, I was laughing out loud for the majority! Awesome fun listening to stories and lovely words. Then for the dancing… ohh the dancing. We leave you with some of my fave shots – hundreds more of course but these stand out as being a little different or just completely catching the essence of such a great day. Paul’s daughter Jess looking beautiful and so grown up and of course, that incredible smile of Linda walking down the aisle, stunning.
I remember meeting these guys at a wedding fair a long time ago and was so glad I did, such a great couple. Plus a cake of cheese at the end. What more could you possibly want! Enjoy friends.. x
Congratulations guys xx
Wedding Photographers Bournemouth – Parley Manor Weddings – Charlene and Davy
It’s rather busy with us at Samantha Davis Photography, but we just HAD to share this wedding with you! We recently had the utmost pleasure in shooting at the beautiful Parley Manor, Christchurch for the most wonderful couple. These guys are so much fun, so happy and so in love! I’ve been lucky enough to shoot Charlene and Davy for a couples shoot, a family shoot and now I have been lucky enough to shoot their big day, and my oh my what a pleasure it was.
Wonderful and welcoming family and friends looked after myself and Toby and we really had such a good time shooting, i’m so pleased with the shots and it really was a hard task trying to show you just a selection of shots for the feel of such a great day. What you will notice is the father of the bride’s brilliant sense of humour shining through with his note on the back of his suit jacket after the ceremony (see below!), you’ll see just how stunning Char looked in her dress and and her beaming smile ALL day long, plus you will see the party getting started with those crazy boys doing crazy shots with lime wedges to the eye (don’t even ask!!) All in all though, I hope you see the happiness and love that is just absolutely everywhere in this wedding. It was a perfect day.
We have the proposal story to share with you from Davy our groom,
“Char and I were together 6 years before I proposed after meeting at our local pub on new years eve. I took Char to Ocean Palace which is her favourite restaurant, before taking her for a walk along the cliff top. I thought she’d twig something was going on if I asked for a walk along the beach so I made up the story that I wanted to go down to see if we could see the Northern lights, I couldn’t think of anything else but luckily she bought it. After a few minutes walk we stopped to look out on the ocean, as I stood behind her and wrapped my arms around her shoulders I showed off her engagement ring, as she realised what it was she turned around, at which point I got down on one knee and proposed, she was giggling so much but managed to squeeze out a faint ‘yes’.”
Thank you for choosing us as your photographers and we hope you love this small selection of your day! Enjoy friends.. xx

Wedding photography Bournemouth – Elmers Court Weddings – Sally and Ben
There is something intently special watching a friend get married. It’s a strange feeling being so completely wrapped up and connected to what you’re watching it’s sometimes easy to forget you’re there to do a job! It didn’t feel like work being asked to photograph Sally and Ben’s wedding at Elmers Court in Lymington. We weren’t only blessed with wonderful company, we were blessed with the weather. Sally and Ben were able to get married outside which was a dream come true for them, and whilst the gale force winds added a bit of a bluster to the day – they certainly didn’t ruin it! We got some great shots of the happy couple.
The night before the wedding I stayed with Sally and her sister Lucy and it was such a lovely experience being with not only a friend, but a very excitable bride so close to the big day! It was an absolute pleasure to be your wedding photographers Sally and Ben, you were such great fun and we were so lucky with your outside wedding for some wonderful pics! Can’t believe we had doves too!!
In tradition, we share with you the proposal story from our beautiful bride Sally, and some outstanding suppliers (including Sally’s own work with stationary and a hat box wedding card display!)
“We had just moved into our new home and I’d got home from a long day at work and Ben suggested we walk the dog down to the front and watch the sunset to chill me out. He also said he had a surprise for me. As we were walking I could hear the clincking of bottles and thought it was booze to celebrate the move into our new home – and that was how he played it when we sat down. He then said to close my eyes as he had another surprise, I thought it would be chocolate! He said to open my eyes and there he was on one knee with the sunset behind him and the dog digging a hole in the sand! He didn’t even have the chance to ask me if I would marry him before I shouted out ‘YES’! Then we sat and watched the sun with our dog Doodle playing in the sea, with a glass of champagne.”
Enjoy friends and thank you for making us feel part of the family on your big day, lots of love xx
And of course we like to have a little fun on location…!

Wedding Photographers Bournemouth – Compton Acres Italian Villa – Becky and Stu
The whirlwind of wedding season is truly upon us and we are proud to announce that we now have a new office space in Westbourne, Bournemouth! We are available for evening consultations and appointments and can even offer a cuppa and a blueberry puff to accompany our chats so feel free to contact us if you want to come down!
Last week was the fabulous wedding of Becky and Stu – at the very glamourous Italian Villa within Compton Acres in Poole. What a venue! It’s just so beautiful! It was a seriously gorgeous day, with lots of laughs and a couple very much in love (who got to enjoy an incredible honeymoon in Thailand. Not jealous at all. Right!)
We share with you the proposal in Becky’s words. Thank you all for making us feel so welcome on the big day and cutting some awesome shapes on the dancefloor! We had a great time shooting and hope you love this small selection of your fab photos…
“Stu proposed in September 2010 after 4 and a half years of being together! We went to Majorca and towards the end of the holiday we went to an amazing cocktail bar on the beach followed by a posh restaurant where he got down on one knee and asked me to marry him! After a few celebratory drinks we phoned home to tell everyone the exciting news. My parents had been eagerly awaiting this call from the moment we left as stu had done the gentlemanly thing and asked my dads permission! I knew it was going to happen at some point but didn’t expect it on our holiday and definately not that night! I found out he was planning a romantic walk down the beach but we were not so lucky with the weather on this holiday, bit I wouldn’t change it, it was perfect (and so was the ring) !! As soon as we got back planning begun and now after 6 years we are finally Mr & Mrs Cross!”
Enjoy… x
Please feel free to offer your congratulations to the happy couple by leaving a comment…

Hampshire Wedding Photographers – Peat Spade Longstock – Shelly and Wayne
There is nothing better than a great wedding with lovely people, I am one of the luckiest people on the planet meeting the couples I do and this week was no exception with the wonderful Shelly and Wayne. They come as a family of three with little Sienna, the apple of mum and dads eye because their wedding day was considered the second happiest day of their lives. After of course the day when Sienna made her appearance in the world.
Their romance described by lovely Shelly:
“We first met on a night out our home town in June 2005 we started off just as friends, until Wayne asked me out on a date in the following January. He took me to Winchester and I remember exactly what we both wore, what we had for dinner, our conversations, and the butterflies, that told me this one was for keeps. After being together for 18 months, we bought our first house.

Bournemouth Wedding Photographers – Parley Manor – Kat and Dan
Whilst soaking up the blissful weather recently, we had the pleasure of photographing at the beautiful Parley Manor in Bournemouth Dorset for the wedding of lovely Kat and Dan. Surrounded by their closest friends and family they celebrated their marriage on the warmest of days and treated guests to some Purbeck Ice Cream in the incredible gardens of the venue during their drinks reception!
Kat says in her own words just how lovely her proposal was, these guys have been together for 14 years! Congratulations to a wonderful couple, we hope you enjoy your selection here and can see just what we saw – a lot of love and a lot of smiles all day long – xx
“We met in 1996 at University at karate club, we started seeing each other in 1998 after some persuasion from my good friend Emma Brown who was one of the bridesmaids! On Christmas day 2010 we were unwrapping our presents at home in Southampton before driving up to Manchester to see Dan’s family. Dan said he had one more present for me – just a stocking filler but he had to go get it. It was a squashy package, like a small cushion. As I unwrapped the outer layer of paper I had turned it over to see a transparent air pocket with ribbon tied around it and I didn’t understand what it was. Dan then had to turn it over to show me a beautiful ring and then got down on one knee and asked me to marry him. It was such a lovely surprise and after a few tears and hugs he said that he’d quite like an answer – which of course was yes. Then off we went to share the good news and begin the planning! ”
